Visit Bari, the administrative Capital City of Puglia Region. From the Old City, where we will visit the XII century Romanesque Church dedicated to its Patron Saint Nicholas and where the saints tomb is, to the Cathedral of San Sabino walking down the ancient city streets. From here enjoy the fresh sea breeze walking along via Venezia and its neighbourhood, ending up exploring the modern city and the façade of the Opera house, the Teatro Petruzzelli. From here take a 30 minutes ride (or drive yourself) to the amazing little sea village of Polignano a Mare.
Polignano a Mare is an ancient cluster of white houses on top of a cave-pocked promontory overlooking the deep blue sea of Puglia. This little village which has recently been declared one of Italy’s most beautiful small villages is the birthplace of Italian singer Domenico Modugno, of ‘Volare’ fame.
