I can’t thank you enough for putting together this trip: the tours of the Etruscan Necropoli and museums and for the lovely restaurants.
Riccardo was wonderful. And he and John had lots to discuss since they have interests in common- biology, farming and history. We saw so many places and had lunches in some really out of the way spots that were just amazingly good. We saw at least two sorgente and discussed plant identification, animal husbandry and the Social Wars.
Riccardo is a superb driver. I tend to get a little nervous on small mountain roads, but not with his driving. The last day to Rome was quite the ordeal, as was the airport road – but Riccardo was so calm, we were able to relax and stare out at a city that was not the city of my memory.
Valentina was excellent and gave a very detailed explanation of the Etruscan artifacts and context in Italian and when needed, English.
Please let them both know how much we appreciated their efforts.
You have quite a team. I will tell all my friends about the trip and maybe you will get some traffic from the DC area.
All in all, Mario, this was a fantastic trip. Thank you.
