Grand Tour of Culinary Tuscany
Six Days Grand Tour, 1st – 6th November 2018
Take a trip to Tuscany with the famous landscapes and iconic cities. Discover the tempting and mouthwatering cuisine of rural Italy with excellent explorations of the best food and drink experiences. Visiting farms and wineries, experience the wonderful aromas and tastes of authentic Italian cooking.

DAY ONE – FLORENCE
Following your arrival in Florence and after settling in to your hotel, you will be introduced to the wonderful city with a gentle walking tour.
Stroll through the streets to see the sites and famous landmarks, including the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and the Ponte Vecchio.
DAY TWO – CHIANTI and DARIO CECCHINI
Starting the food journey with a trip around the Chianti region. Driving through the picturesque countryside, a magical landscape of cypress trees, vineyards and olive groves you’ll recognise from Renaissance paintings.
Visiting three different wineries throughout the day. You will be able to do a spot of wine tasting and the tours will help you to understand the history and culture of wine making.
We will stop in Panzano for lunch at the famous butchers, Dario Cecchini.
DAY THREE – PARMA
A day trip to Parma, visiting the beautiful city with its fantastic history of Art, Music and Food. Parma is the crib of Italian gourmandises; Parma Ham Prosciutto and Parmesan Cheese.
Including a tour of two farms, with lunch. Sample the different Parma Ham, Parmesan cheese, crostini and wine.
A day of true delicacy and delight.
DAY FOUR – FLORENCE
A chance to seek out the amazing sites and tastes of central Florence.
Take a walk around the Accademia Gallery, before continuing with a walking tour of the city centre, stopping for delicious local food.
Lunch near Piazza della Signoria, 3 courses with wine.
A gentle afternoon visit to the Boboli gardens and then free time to explore.
DAY FIVE – SIENA and SAN GIMIGNANO
Excursion to Siena and San Gimignano. With a light snack at a winery with Vernaccia or Olive oil farm visit. Lunch with be cold cuts of meat, cheeses and vegetables at Fattoria San Donato, a family run farmhouse set amidst the classic green hills of San Gimignano. Its position also offers a marvellous charming view on this unique town and its surrounding countryside.
Your first stop will be the beautiful Siena. Passing through the romantic streets and charming piazzas. See Piazza del Campo and visit Siena’s Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After lunch, your tour continues to San Gimignano, a tiny city that has survived centuries. The hilltop city is famous for the numerous skyscraper-like towers, frescoes and other art treasures.
DAY SIX
Private transport back to the airport.
